### When Would Lasagna Be Considered A Side Dish

A side dish is food served along with the main course. The main course, usually a protein, is the featured item and side dishes compliment the main course.

Lasagna would be considered a side dish if you were also serving a standard portion size (6-8 oz) of meat such as  chicken breast, sausage or steak.
